Main Ingredients
Frozen banana: This recipe works best with a frozen banana. If you don’t have a frozen banana, you can use a fresh banana and add some ice cubes to the blender.
Oat milk: I like using oat milk in this recipe because it’s creamier than other non-dairy options. It also has a neutral flavor, unlike other options. But feel free to use any plant-based milk for example coconut milk, or almond milk if you do not prefer oat milk.
Cocoa powder: This is the most essential ingredient for this recipe. I used unsweetened cocoa powder (raw cacao powder) in this recipe. If you do not have this, try vegan chocolate chips that have the least amount of sugar.
Vanilla extract: This is optional but it does add a nice flavor to the chocolate shake.
Vegan ice cream: I have used coconut ice cream on top. But feel free to use any type of vegan ice cream or even whipped cream. Vanilla-flavored ice cream is one of the best options when it comes to topping milkshakes.

My kids love shakes and smoothies and I'd been blending different fruit combination. They love banana strawberry, avocado banana, apple kiwi, plain milk chocolate shakes. Mixing dates with chocolate seems to be an awesome idea. We will try it
