About this recipe
This juice is a simple, easy, and tasty drink. Dragon fruit can be white or purple colored. The seeds are tiny, crunchy, and add to the taste, so no need to remove them.
This Pitaya Fruit juice is jam-packed with health benefits from antioxidants, dietary fiber, and vitamin C.
Best of all, it is incredibly easy to make.
I love how vibrant the color is, especially since it makes my kids want to drink it, too!
I made this dragon fruit juice with frozen organic dragon fruit, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and coconut water.
It was so easy and the natural flavors were fantastic! I tried several other versions of this dragon fruit juice by using mango puree and one with coconut milk.
But it didn't have to be very complicated after all.
My family enjoyed this juice to the last drop, just like they did on my cantaloupe juice, mulberry juice, and watermelon rose juice.
The recipe I share here is for the red variant of dragon fruit. You can do the same with white pitaya (white flesh) as well.
There is no juicer needed for any version. If you are looking for a healthy and delicious drink with no artificial flavors, give this Dragon Fruit juice recipe a try!
Ingredients notes

Frozen organic red dragon fruit: Since the dragon fruit is native only to South America, there are not many options to buy them fresh.
However, you can find frozen dragon fruit at most health food stores or online. I got a big frozen bag from Costco.
If you are using fresh fruit, you will need about two cups. Using dragon fruit powder is another option, but I have not explored that yet.
Fresh lemon juice: I used the juice from one small lemon.
Sugar: You can use any type of sugar, such as organic sugar, brown sugar, or even maple syrup.
Coconut water: This helps in getting the tropical flavor you expect in a summer drink. You can find coconut water in the health food section of most groceries. You can also use filtered water if you prefer.
