This is the best time of the year to buy a lot of fruits like melons and berries. You can find the sweetest melons of the year around this time (May-Aug) and for that reason, I think there is no better time you tried this recipe.

You get instant refreshment as well as a boost of energy from the sweet melons. Since it takes just 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish, I keep a few spears of cantaloupes ready to prepare a small cup for my kids when they get back from their playtime.

    Can cantaloupe be juiced?

Absolutely! But you have to remember that it is completely ok to include a little bit of rind when you juice them. The rind has a great deal of the nutrients and by juicing cantaloupes you're going to get a wealth of other benefits that you just would not get by eating the fruit whole.

Is a sweetener needed for juice?

If you are juicing a ripe cantaloupe, you do not need any artificial sweetener. But if your cantaloupe turns out too bland, then you could add a little bit of sugar, maple syrup, or agave syrup to suit your taste.

To prepare your juice, you can start with a juicer or blender. With a juicer, you can eliminate one more step of straining the juice. Apart from that, there is no difference in taste. Try this quick recipe today and let me know if you liked it and share your comments with other readers.

    Main ingredients

Cantaloupe: use a cantaloupe melon and remove the seeds

    Ginger: use fresh ginger

Maple syrup: use real maple syrup or sugar

    Method

A melon and a plate of food on a table, with Cantaloupe
    • Blend all ingredients together to make a smooth consistency.
    • Then strain the pulp with a strainer( this is optional I personally don't strain the pulp, as it contains all the fibers and nutrients).

    • If you prefer a smoother texture, then strain the excess residue.
    • Cantaloupe Juice is ready! Serve it right away!

Not a fan of the maple syrup and ginger. I believe it would be better with just sugar. Next time.3 stars

One of my kids literally grew up on canulopes and refused anything else as a baby. With that amount of cut canulopes in the house, I too started loving its freshness. This juice cup remined me of the time I used to cut them up and then juice them up for myself.5 stars

Healthy, fresh and without any additives or too much sugar, home made juices are the best. During the hot season I love to make juice at home, including cantaloupe one. Like your idea of adding a bit of ginger. Will try that next time.5 stars

This juice looks absolutely delicious – I’ve made it during summer times but adding honey on it never tried with maple syrup and ginger combination. So healthy and yummy!
