Instruction
I bought the fresh corn from Costco. It came with eight cobs. I made 4 using foil and the remaining air-fried directly.
In a small bowl combine all the spices and salt together.
Carefully brush softened, melted butter over each cob, then sprinkle the spice mixture on top of it.
Wrap each cob into a square of aluminum foil, sealing all the sides (to prevent steam from escaping).
Place corn in your air fryer basket ( mine cosori AF) in a single layer and cook at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.
When done, remove from air fryer and let cool for 3-4 minutes.
Unwrap and serve. Carefully remove the corn on the cob from the foil, transferring it to a serving platter.
Optional toppings: If desired, sprinkle the cooked corn kernels with chopped fresh herbs (such as cilantro or parsley) for an added touch of flavor.
Pair it up
Air Fryer Corn on the Cob in Foil is a versatile side dish that complements various main courses, including roasted vegetables and your favorite summer salad and soups.
My tips
- Use fresh, in-season corn for the best taste and texture.
- If you want to add a unique twist to your corn, consider experimenting with additional flavors in the compound butter. Some ideas include adding lemon zest, chili powder, or your favorite herbs.
- Keep an eye on the corn during cooking to ensure it doesn't overcook or burn. Cooking times may vary slightly depending on the size and freshness of the corn, as well as the temperature of the air fryer.
- Keep the corn covered with the aluminum foil for 5 minutes after cooking. This will help the steam to keep the corn moist and juicy.
- Cooking corn in foil is the best way to achieve the perfect juicy and tender kernels. If you're looking for a roasted corn flavor, simply apply some oil to the cob before air frying it.
- Adjust the cooking time accordingly if you use frozen corn instead of fresh corn.
Recipe FAQ
Yes, you can. Place the corn cob in the air fryer directly and cook at 400°F for 15-20 minutes. Make sure to flip it occasionally during cooking time to ensure even browning. This method works best with smaller ears of corn. For larger ones, the foil wrapping will help them cook through more evenly.
Yes, you can. Preheat the oven to 400°F and cook for 20-25 minutes until the corn is tender. You may need to rotate and flip the ears during baking for even browning. Again, wrapping each ear with foil will yield the best results.
Air fryer gives you the delicious roasted flavor without mess or extra dishes. Plus, it is much faster than roasting in the oven! It’s essentially a mini convection oven that fits perfectly on your countertop.
Yes, you can use aluminum foil in the air fryer recipes. Make sure to wrap the food tightly in foil as it will help keep the moisture and heat inside.
Be careful not to put any pieces of aluminum foil directly touching the heating element of your air fryer. This could cause a fire or damage your appliance. In this case, you're wrapping the corn in foil so it's 100% safe.
Storage
Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in the air fryer or oven before serving. Enjoy!
