Soak the yellow moong dal for 2 hours.
Drain the water and place it on a dry towel and allow it to dry.
After about 10 -15 minutes, saute the dal with coconut oil for 30 seconds.
Add turmeric powder, chili powder and salt and continue to saute for another 2 minutes.
Now, spread them evenly on a big plate and microwave/oven cook for 10 minutes (medium size microwave).
Check the dal often as it may burn, depending on the size of microwave.
Turn the heat off when you see a golden texture develop.
