- 4 slices wheat bread
- 2 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 ½ tablespoon jelly
- 2 teaspoon vegan butter
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
Spread the peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread and top it with your desired amount of jelly or jam.
Place another slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
Spread a thin layer of vegan butter on the outside of the sandwich, creating a crispy crust when cooked.
Carefully place the sandwich into the air fryer basket and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the air fryer and let it cool for a minute before serving.
Cut into smaller pieces for little hands to enjoy!
- Use creamy or chunky peanut butter depending on your preference.
- For an extra twist, add slices of banana or chopped nuts inside the sandwich before cooking.
- If you don't have an air fryer, you can also make this snack in a regular toaster by flipping the sandwich halfway through the cooking time.
- Experiment with different types of bread such as whole wheat, sourdough bread, or even cinnamon raisin for added flavor.
- Try variations with sunflower seed butter instead of PB
