Rinse and drain the rice, set aside.
Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat olive oil.

Add whole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and cumin seeds) and sauté until fragrant.
½ teaspoon cumin seeds, ½ inch cinnamon stick, 2 green cardamom, 4 cloves
Add diced onions, green chili, minced garlic and ginger. Sauté until onions are translucent.

Add the spices, salt and mix well.
⅓ teaspoon turmeric powder, ½ teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, ½ teaspoon cumin powder, salt to taste
Add the green peas and chopped cabbage and sauté for a minute.
4 cup cabbage, 1 cup green peas
Add the rinsed rice and mix well with the spices and vegetables.
2 cup basmati rice
Add water, close the lid of the Instant Pot, and set it to manual mode (high pressure) for 5 minutes.

Once done, let it naturally release pressure for 10 minutes. Open the lid carefully and fluff up the cabbage rice with a fork. garnish with cilantro and add a few teaspoons of lemon juice.
