Instructions
Take 2 cups of water in a saucepan, add 2 bay leaves and 1 cinnamon stick or one teaspoon of cinnamon powder.

Add a pinch of turmeric and ground black pepper.

Bring it to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

You could also add ½ teaspoon jaggery or lemon for added flavor.
