Pumpkin Dal Recipe - Instant Pot & Stovetop

Simple Sumptuous cooking

Gather Pumpkin, yellow lentils, onions, tomatoes, spices, ginger and garlic.

Saute cumin seeds, ginger and garlic, chopped onions for 2 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes, Madras curry powder, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir well to combine.

Add pumpkin cubes and lentils. Mix well.

Add water. Seal the lid and select the Pressure Cook setting for 10 minutes on high pressure.

Your Pumpkin dal is ready! Garnish with cilantro and lime juice.

Adding tempering and fried onions will enhance the flavor of dal.

Enjoy Pumpkin Dal with white rice or naan.
