Place a pan over medium heat and add oil.
As the oil heats up, add cumin seeds.
When the cumin seeds sizzle, chopped onions and saute until they turn translucent.
Now, add chopped okra and cook on high heat for 2 min.
Add all the spices and mix gently.
When they turn crispy, add salt to taste and mix well.
Okra Fry is ready! Serve them hot with steamed rice or roti!
- Leftovers make a delicious filling for a sandwich.
- You can add roasted peanuts as a final garnish for variation.
- Use a nonstick pan if you like to add less coconut oil or any oil.
- Add sambar powder or curry powder for variation.
