Churumuri Recipe 

Churumuri is a tasty and very popular street food snack from Karnataka. It’s made out of puffed rice, spices, and grated raw vegetables. This one can be made from scratch in less than 30 minutes.

  • 4-6 cups puffed rice
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • ½ cup grated carrot
  • ¼ cup grated raw Mangoes
  • Himalayan/ pink salt
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Spiced peanuts optional


  • Finely chop onions, grate carrots, and chop coriander leaves. Take everything in a wide vessel . Top veggies with puffed rice.
  • Mix well and that is it!



Spiced peanuts or baked masala peanuts is optional. You can add salted peanuts too.
