Corn Salad Indian

  • 2 cups of frozen corn cooked
  • ¼ cup boiled peanuts
  • ¼ cup grated carrots
  • 2 tablespoon cilantro chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 green chilies chopped skip this for kids
  • For tempering or seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • ½ teaspoon urad dal
  • 1 red chilies
  • 2 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 8 curry leaves optional


  • Cook the corn and peanuts in a separate bowl. And let it cool.
  • Drain any excess water and mix the corn and peanuts in a bowl.
  • Add carrots, cilantro, green chilies, salt and mix well.
  • To prepare the tempering: place a pan over medium heat, add few teaspoon of oil. As the oil heats up, add mustard seeds, urad dal, and red chilies. Saute them until the urad dal turns golden. Add curry leaves and switch off the heat.
  • Add the tempering to corn mix. Mix well!
  • Indian style Corn Salad is ready!
