- 2 apples
- 2 bananas very ripe or use frozen if you desired
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 scoop plant based protein powder vanilla flavor
Wash and chop the apple into small pieces and place in a high-powered blender along with the banana, oat milk, and plant-based protein powder (optional).
2 apples, 2 bananas, 1 cup oat milk, 1 scoop plant based protein powder
Adding ice cubes is optional but would be a great option in summer.
Blend until it's smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and serve cold. Enjoy!
- Add other fruits like strawberries or blueberries to make it extra special.
- For a creamier texture, use frozen banana slices instead of fresh ones.
- Substitute the Oat milk with your favorite dairy-free yogurt for added creaminess. I found that coconut milk is not a great option for this smoothie.
- Replace the apple with pear or mango for different flavors and nutrients.
- Add chia seeds or flaxseed meals for more fiber and omega fatty acids.
- If your apple and bananas are not sweet, adding some maple syrup could be helpful.
- Pour this over a layer of pureed acai berries and granola to make it a smoothie bowl.
