Ingredients To Make Chana Dal Recipe

As the oil heats up, add the cumin seeds, and after a few seconds, add chopped or minced garlic. Add onions, ginger, and green chilies, and saute for 2 minutes.

Add tomatoes, salt and saute well. 

Add all the spices one by one. Mix well. Saute on low heat if required. 

Follow it up with chana dal and water for cooking. Stir it all up. Press ‘Cancel’ on the Instant Pot and close the lid with a vent in the sealing position.

Pressure cook mode at high pressure for 12-14 mins. Add tadka to the cooked dal and give a good stir.

Instant Pot Chana Dal is ready to enjoy with Jeera rice!
