Beetroot Halwa Recipe

Dessert with Beets….Beetroot Halwa recipe!

Beetroot halwa recipeAfter two recipes of starchy dishes with Sweet Potatoes and Pumpkin, could I do anything other than post a  sweet dessert recipe? I don’t think so…

So here’s a fairly simple recipe for making a creamy, caramelized Halwa with Beets! It has been a while since I posted a “Halwa” recipe. Since I received good reviews for my Carrot Halwa, I think Beets will open up new possibilities. Cook time for beets depend on the kind of dish and Beetroot Halwa is no different. The only tricky part might be cooking the beets the right way and not make them soggy. As food dislikes go, beets are a popular one. Tales of negative childhood experiences with canned beets are very common. So this recipe will provide a breath of fresh air to this not-so-popular vegetable.
