Potato chips are probably everyone’s favorite snack. $5 for a family pack sounds like a good deal, but  we are never really sure how long it has been on the shelves. Homemade chips beats the budget, tastes better and comes with less guilt 😉

Sweet Potato ChipsHere’s a recipe with three simple ingredients for a crispy serving of Sweet Potato chips. Sweet Potato comes with a rich serving of Vitamin-A unlike regular potatoes.They are also less greasy than potato chips. So, you can feel better eating them too. They have a wonderful crispness and are incredibly simple to make. It only takes a few minutes… so go make some chips! You can thank me later 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium sized sweet potatoes
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 3-4 cups frying oil

Sweet Potato ChipsPeel the sweet potatoes and slice them very thing with a slicer. Soak them in water for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare half cup of salt water. Heat the oil in a deep pan.  When oil is ready to fry, drain the sliced sweet potato and drop them in chunks. Now drizzle a tablespoon of the salted water in to the oil (careful not to splash the water)  Continue frying until the chips turn golden yellow.

Crunchy Sweet Potato Chips are ready! Enjoy responsibly!

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes
